Ruyat collects only the data essential to deliver its features. The table below outlines what is collected, why, and how it is handled:

Location access is the core permission Ruyat requires to function. Here is exactly how we handle it:

• What we access: Your device's GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) when the App is in use
• Why we access it: To calculate the five daily prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha) and Qibla direction specific to your location
• When we access it: Only when you open the App or manually refresh prayer times. We do not track your location in the background unless you enable background prayer time updates
• Where it goes: Location coordinates are processed on your device. No GPS data is sent to our servers or shared with third parties
• How to control it: You can revoke location permission at any time in your device's Settings app. If revoked, prayer times default to your last saved location or manual input mode

Any data collected by Ruyat is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• Calculating and displaying accurate daily prayer times for your area
• Displaying the current Hijri (Islamic) date and calendar
• Computing Qibla direction from your location
• Scheduling and delivering Adhan notifications and prayer reminders
• Remembering your app settings and preferences between sessions
• Diagnosing and fixing crashes or technical issues (only if crash reporting is enabled)

We do not use your data for marketing, behavioral analysis, or any commercial purpose beyond providing the service described above.

Ruyat does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We may engage limited third-party services solely for technical operation:

• Crash Analytics (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics): Anonymous, non-identifiable crash data may be sent to diagnose errors. This contains no location or personal data
• Prayer Time Calculation Libraries: All calculations are performed on-device using open-source astronomical libraries. No data is transmitted externally for calculation
• Map Services (if applicable): If the App displays a map for Qibla, it may use a mapping API. Only the minimum required coordinate data is used, subject to that provider's privacy policy

Any third-party service used by Ruyat is carefully selected and required to adhere to data protection standards comparable to those described in this policy.

We retain data only as long as it is needed to provide the service:

• App preferences and settings are stored locally on your device and deleted when you uninstall the App
• Location coordinates are not stored on external servers; they exist in-memory only during the session
• Anonymized crash reports, if any, are retained for up to 90 days for debugging purposes

• All data stored on-device remains within your device's secure storage sandbox

• We do not store passwords, payment information, or sensitive personal identifiers
• We conduct periodic reviews of our security practices to ensure ongoing protection

No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Ruyat is a family-friendly Islamic app suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Since Ruyat does not require account registration, no personal information is collected during normal use. Parents who have concerns about their child's use of the App are encouraged to contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do:
